Son, grandson and great-grandson of a winegrower from an early age, Laurent followed the path of his ancestors in the vines and in the cellar. Laurent became passionate about the vine since his very young age.
The winemaker in Maisdon-sur-Sèvre, Loire Valley, France is the great-grandson of one of the creators of the Muscadet appellation. Laurent Freuchet cultivates 29 hectares of vines, combining tradition and modernism. He decided to set up on his own in 1996 and joined the Domaine de la Tourette.
The quality of the wine is enhanced by thermoregulated vinification and traditional storage, as well as by an environmentally friendly bio-control method (particularly against grape worms). It is thank to its ancestral expertise that the wine estate in Maisdon-sur-Sèvre offers high quality wines, combining freshness, fruity aromas and natural elegance.
Having particular and professional customers, the wine estate is constantly setting out to conquer new markets. Member of the Independent Winegrowers, Le Domaine de la Tourette has developed around fifteen different references among the ranges of its wines. It thus offers 3 ranges of wines: Passionnément “classic” and “prestige”, and some unique wines, which you can discover in the “Discover our particular wines” section.
Sales to individuals are now associated with the CHR market (cafes, hotels and restaurants), resellers and export companies. The estate offers a delivery service but also wine deposits at private homes for French customer.
